DESCRIPTION:  \nEVENT DETAILS \n\n\nJust six months after the conclusion of THE BOYZ’s highly-successful first world tour “THE BOYZ WORLD TOUR : THE B-ZONE” in November 2022\, the 11-member boy group from IST Entertainment recently embarked on their second world tour\, titled “ZENERATION”. \n\n\nTHE BOYZ kicked off their second world tour with three sold-out shows at the KSPO Dome in Seoul\, South Korea from 19 to 21 May 2023\, and have upcoming stops in Japan\, Taiwan\, Macau\, the Philippines\, Indonesia\, and Thailand. \n\n\nCK Star Entertainment is proud to present the Singapore leg of the tour\, which is set to take place on 20 July 2023 (Thursday)\, 7PM (SGT)\, at The Star Theatre. However\, noticing that the Japanese language made no distinction between R’s and L’s\, “O’CLOCK” transformed into “O’CROCK” or “O’KROCK”\, which later transformed into “OK ROCK”.In addition\, One OK Rock can be expressed as “10969” (wan-ō-ku-ro-ku). The band uses both Japanese and English lyrics in their songs. \nOne OK Rock has won Classic Rock Roll of Honour Awards for Eastern Breakthrough Male Band in 2016\, and Rock Sound Awards for Best International Band in 2017. The band was also nominated for two Alternative Press Music Awards – Best International Band in 2016 and Best Breakthrough Band in 2017.

With a strong desire to refine and redefine the boundaries of traditional music\, join us in discovering new musical creations at RENTAS! \nAbout RENTAS\nThe participating musicians of the residency programme are handpicked based on their individual experience and interest in developing their craft within the sphere of traditional Malay music. After more than 20 hours of workshops\, training and rehearsals\, the residency programme culminates in a music showcase\, featuring new works by the resident artists\, solo performances as well as a creative composition by the participating musicians. \nAbout Zulkifli Mohamed Amin\nZulkifli Mohamed Amin is widely acknowledged as a proponent of Malay music and traditional instruments\, having served as music director of the youth section of Orkestra Melayu Singapura since its inception in 2005 till present. In 2015\, he embarked on a new project\, co-founding Nusantara Arts as a platform for young musicians to hone their musical sound and voice\, and collaborate with artists from other disciplines. The company draws influences from the Malay Archipelago\, moulding them into something that is uniquely Singaporean. He is the recipient of the National Arts Council’s Young Artist Award 2018. \nAbout Danial Ariffin Azman\nDanial Ariffin Azman is music director\, music composer\, music arranger and educator. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree (First Class Honours) in Music (Composition and Arranging) from Lasalle College of the Arts. Danial hopes to contribute to the growing repertoire of local composers who draw upon surrounding historical\, geographical and socio-cultural resources to create an invigorating sound representative of the Asian identity. \nAbout Muhammad Hardi Aris\nHardi Aris began his traditional Malay music journey in 2005 as member of Alunan Dondang Irama Melayu (ADIM). In 2012\, he joined another traditional Malay ensemble called Nobat Kota Singa (NKS). Hardi is active in numerous local productions and overseas performances\, playing an essential role as Music Director of NKS. \nPursuing his passion for traditional Malay music\, he signed up as a member of Orkestra Melayu Singapura (Belia)\, where he was under the tutelage of Dzul Rabull\, Azrin Abdullah\, Arman Abdul Rahman\, Fadhli Ramlee and many others. In Oct-2017\, he completed the Malay Traditional Music workshop conducted by Ariffin Abdullah\, a renowned traditional Malay accordionist in Singapore. Hardi currently attends private classes with Team Accordion Singapore.

DESCRIPTION:Biography \n\nOriginally formed under the moniker Legacy\, Testament (formed in 1983) is an American thrash metal group hailing from Berkeley\, California\, in the U.S. \nInfluenced by the emerging Californian thrash metal scene\, Testament was originally formed of vocalist Steve Souza\, guitarists Eric Peterson and Derrick Ramirez\, bassist Greg Christian\, and drummer Louie Clemente in 1983. However\, only with the arrival of lead guitarist Alex Skolnick did the group rise above their peers\, creating a polished melodic thrash metal sound. The band’s debut album “The Legacy” released in 1987 brought them instant success within thrash circles and led to immediate comparisons being drawn with Metallica. U.S. and European tours alongside Anthrax did wonders for the group’s exposure and led to the band second studio album “The New Order” in 1988. \nThe band’s third full-length album “Practice What You Preach” left the antiquated themes of the occult and gothic behind and focused on modern day politics and corruption. It became the band’s most popular album and resulted in noticeable airplay from MTV. 1990’s “Souls of Black” was released to fairly average reviews but sold well\, despite having to compete with the growing grunge movement famed by the likes of Nirvana. \nTestament’s fourth full-length became their best selling\, a marked a return to a more traditional metal sound\, it peaked at No. 55 on the Billboard 100 and featured the single “Return to Serenity”. After the release the band began to fade from mainstream view\, and were unable to change with the times necessary for continued large-scale appeal. As a result this period was marked by constant line-up changes\, with Eric Peterson remaining the only original member\, and a disappointing string of albums including “Low” in 1994\, “Demonic” in 1997\, “The Gathering” in 1999\, and “The Formation of Damnation” in 2008. \nDespite this\, the band has managed to retain an active and loyal following within the metal underground\, who continue to see Testament perform live regularly. The band’s tenth studio album arrived in 2012 entitled “Dark Roots of Earth” and subsequently the live album “Dark Roots of Thrash” in 2013.

DESCRIPTION:Patrick Bruce Metheny born August 12\, 1954) is an American jazz guitarist and composer. \n\nHe is the leader of the Pat Metheny Group and is also involved in duets\, solo works\, and other side projects. His style incorporates elements of progressive and contemporary jazz\, Latin jazz\, and jazz fusion Metheny has three gold albums and 20 Grammy Awards and is the only person to win Grammys in 10 categories. He is the brother of jazz flugelhornist Mike Metheny. \nDebut album\nIn 1974 he appeared on an album unofficially titled Jaco with pianist Paul Bley\, bassist Jaco Pastorius\, and drummer Bruce Ditmas for Carol Goss’s Improvising Artists label. But he was unaware that he was being recorded. During the next year\, he joined Gary Burton’s band with guitarist Mick Goodrick. \nMetheny released his debut album\, Bright Size Life (ECM\, 1976) with Jaco Pastorius on bass guitar and Bob Moses on drums. His next album\, Watercolors (ECM\, 1977)\, was the first time he recorded with pianist Lyle Mays\, who became his most frequent collaborator. The album also featured Danny Gottlieb\, who became the drummer for the first version of the Pat Metheny Group.[9] With Metheny\, Mays\, and Gottlieb\, the fourth member was bassist Mark Egan when the album Pat Metheny Group (ECM\, 1978) was released.
